The process behind the shot
The creative process behind the photoshoot, from concept to posting.
The concept
The initial step in any shoot I do is conceptualizing the result. What do I want the energy to be? What feeling do I want to convey to the audience? Is there a place I want to take the audience to through emotion? What is the tone, and who can I cast to help convey these themes? These are all baseline questions I ask myself before starting anything else.
Next Is sourcing a location
Dependent on the theme, tone, and message I want to portray I scout locations in my surrounding area to find something that matches the concept. Then I will evaluate the lighting in different times of the day to best align the vibe of the lighting to the tone of the photos I want.
photoshoot, editing
Next I conduct the photoshoot, go home and go through all the photos. Once I tag every photo I like, I transfer them to a separate file. Once I have a separate file I upload those to Lightroom to edit them. Once edited, I export them and share them!
